I took my new sweater from Anthropologie into my local yarn store to measure it up against the pattern for the tangled yoke cardigan from Interweave Knits, which is my big knitting project of the fall. While there, I cast on knee sock number two
...and bought more yarn to knit this. Yarn, like fabric, is a disease.
I have lists and more lists of things I need to finish, projects I want to start and self-imposed deadlines hanging over my head. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and find myself in a bit of a funk. And as I was reading this post of Eren's earlier today, I realized that it's time to find a new rhythm. The girls are settled in school and adjusted to their routines, but I am walking around not sure how to handle my new found time. I need to get my act together. So, it's photos posts this week. I am starting with my most recent Flickr favorites. You can click on the mosaic to see the individual credits. Happy Monday all!
The zipper tutorial is finished. Hooray!
It took me FOREVER to decide on what kind of pillow to make....I thought about patchwork and actually made most of a log cabin piece before abandoning it. I thought about embroidery also, but settled on good old applique.
Let me know if you follow the tutorial and have any problems. I have read it over once, but I am always afraid I might have missed some crucial step. Happy Sewing!
There was no way I could make just one. This time I got all crazy and made my own bias tape.
I am in love with the brown and white gingham on the bias. Crazy in love.
This time, I remember to take a photo of the back, too.
In case you were wondering, there will be more. I can't stop. And I don't want to either.
